Grandmere's Authentic French Apple Tarte.

Marie Anna Voisin (click) was Peter's grandmother who was born in Britanny, France in 1896. Being one of five daughters, she was always helping in the kitchen.  This tarte recipee is one of her favorites and has been adjusted (just a bit by Peter) to perfection.  If you like the tanginess of apples, almond and vanilla flavors, and the smooth taste of apricots, this dessert has your name all over it!

Pierre's Origional Rasberry Anjou Pear Tarte.

Peter Voisin (grandson of Marie Voisin) was born in Boston, Massachusetts in 1950 and grew up watching his grandmother and mother (Martha Hayes Voisin, born in Charlotte, NC) cook the Sunday family dinners. Many recipees and desserts were observed and consumed.  This is Peter's origional variation to the famous French Apple Tarte!  His father, Roger, (click) considers the pear his favorite fruit. Peter uses the firm, red Anjou pear  (Province that his father was from) for baking. If you like the sweetness of pears, the smooth flavor of apricots and crab-apple jelly, and the distinct flavor of rasberries, this could be your second favorite dessert!
