This piece was dedicated to a great friend and colleague, Libby Kilpatrick. She played in the Jacksonville Symphony and was an exceptional clarinet player, Eb player and bass clarinet player. Remembrences is a musical offering that expresses the sorrow of a friend moving away but also captures some of the great memories that we shared together in the orchestra! It was premiered at the Cummer Art Museum at the American Music Festival week that the Jacksonville Symphony presented in 1997.
